Talented student debaters from Konstandin Kristoforidhi School in Elbasan proudly represented Albania at the World Schools Debate Academy (WSDA) 2025, held from 28 June to 5 July in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. Over the course of the week, students engaged in rigorous debates on pressing global issues, including whether privileged students should attend public schools and whether ecocide should be recognized as an international crime.
WSDA 2025 brought together young debaters from around the world, offering intensive training, interactive exercises, content electives, and practice debates. Participants were grouped according to experience levels, ranging from beginners to advanced debaters, and had the opportunity to compete in a final tournament.
The event also included a specialized track for teachers, coaches, and youth workers, highlighting methods to integrate debate into classrooms and lessons, as well as sessions on media literacy, data literacy, and navigating the increasing presence of AI in education.
