On April 9, 2025, the pedestrian boulevard of Berat transformed into a vibrant marketplace of innovation and entrepreneurship as 200 students from 14 schools across Albania gathered to present 40 student-led companies developed through the Junior Achievement of Albania (JAA) “Student Company” program.
This event, known as the Regional Student Company Festival, is a proud tradition of JAA, now in its 13th year, offering young people a unique opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills and prepare for the workforce through practical experiences.
The student companies showcased ideas built over several months of teamwork and dedication. Through the program, participants gained hands-on experience in financial management, creative thinking, decision-making, and leadership—skills that are increasingly essential in today’s ever-changing job market.
During the 2024–2025 academic year, the Student Company module was implemented in 41 high schools, engaging over 1,900 students under the guidance of 50+ dedicated teachers. These young innovators are now equipped with not only knowledge but also key 21st-century skills such as creativity, teamwork, confidence, and accountability.
The event was made possible through the strategic support of the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Municipality of Berat, and with the financial support of Tirana Bank. Through such collaborations, entrepreneurship education continues to empower Albanian youth, turning ideas into real opportunities for impact.
