Girls Go Circular – Hasan Tahsini High School students join the Women & Girls in STEM Forum 2025 in Brussels

The team of students from Hasan Tahsini High School, Saranda took part in the Women & Girls in STEM Forum 2025, held in Brussels from 14–16 October 2025, as part of the Girls Go Circular (GGC) program implemented in Albania by Junior Achievement of Albania.

Their participation followed the team’s selection as the “Best Idea” among Albanian groups in the Students Challenge, an initiative encouraging students to design innovative solutions that help people stay safe online. The Hasan Tahsini team’s project focused on digital safety awareness and ways to protect users from cyber fraud, receiving recognition for its creativity and educational impact.

The Forum, organized by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the European Commission, brought together students, teachers, and professionals from over 30 European countries as part of the EIT Education and Skills Days 2025, marking five years of Girls Go STEM’s work in promoting gender equality and inclusive innovation in STEM education.

Over three days, participants joined workshops on critical thinking, professional collaboration, and digital presence, attended cultural visits across Brussels, and followed the Students Challenge Finale, where the three finalist teams presented their cybersecurity ideas to an expert jury.

The final day concluded with panel discussions moderated by Girls Go Circular alumni, who shared experiences, advice, and career insights in STEM, inspiring students to continue learning and explore opportunities in digital and sustainable innovation.

Through the Girls Go Circular program, Junior Achievement of Albania supports the development of digital, green, and entrepreneurial competences, encouraging students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and explore how technology connects with innovation and sustainability.

The Forum highlighted how more girls are stepping into the world of STEM, bringing forward ideas, perspectives, and solutions that strengthen the future of education and innovation across Europe.
