InnoVET 2.0 brings students closer to entrepreneurship through information sessions in Korça & Tirana

During November, Junior Achievement of Albania held two information sessions under the InnoVET 2.0 project. The third session took place at the Technical VET School Korçë with 98 participating students, followed by the fourth session at “Sami Frashëri” High School in Tirana, which gathered 92 students. These activities aim to guide students toward entrepreneurial and innovation-driven thinking by presenting the opportunities and actual results achieved through the program.

During these sessions, students were introduced to the project’s approaches for developing ideas inspired by real community challenges and turning them into structured initiatives. The presentation highlighted key activities implemented throughout the program, including hands-on group work, classroom-based business model development, and mentoring formats that have supported students in refining and articulating their business ideas.

A significant part of each session focused on the mini-companies created during the year, which served as practical examples of how students’ creativity—supported by programme experts—was translated into real-life business concepts. Several of these mini-companies were selected to participate in the GEN-E Albania 2025 National Entrepreneurship Festival, including MetalART, My City’s Hub, TeknoVolt and ProSkills from the Technical VET School Korçë, as well as Queless, Farm Futures, Aquaweb, Dirty Mole and Farm2You from “Sami Frashëri” High School in Tirana.

The format of the sessions was designed to be engaging and interactive, allowing students to discuss their ideas, ask questions, and reflect on how vocational education and JAA programmes can support the development of labour-market-oriented and entrepreneurial competencies. The strong interest shown by students in further exploring entrepreneurship clearly highlighted the impact of the intervention.

InnoVET 2.0 aims to strengthen innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship competencies across vocational education institutions by creating meaningful collaboration between schools, experts, and actors in the innovation ecosystem.

The project is implemented by Junior Achievement of Albania, in partnership with POLIS University, the Technical VET School Korçë and “Sami Frashëri” High School Tirana, with the support of GIZ and EU4Innovation.
