In January, a Project Management training series kicked off online for high school students in grades 10 through 12, all active participants in the Student Company module — one of Junior Achievement Albania's flagship programs. The sessions gave students the tools to structure their projects, assign responsibilities, track progress, and make informed decisions about how their companies use resources. It was hands-on learning from the very first session.
The training deepened its focus on financial planning and budget management, guiding students through the process of forecasting costs, balancing income against expenses, and building budgets that can actually hold up in practice. The JAA team walked participants through each step, turning what can often feel like abstract financial concepts into real, applicable skills for running a student company.
The final sessions of the series brought the full training cycle to a close, reinforcing everything students had learned and giving them space to ask questions, reflect, and solidify their understanding. By the end, participants left with a clearer picture of what it takes to manage a project responsibly, from the first idea all the way through to execution and financial accountability.
Through this series, students gained something that goes well beyond the classroom: the confidence to plan, lead, and make real decisions. The Project Management training is a key part of preparing young people for the job market, building the managerial and financial capacity they'll carry into every future endeavor. JAA looks forward to seeing these skills come to life as student companies continue to grow throughout the year.
