VETpreneur: Empowering VET Youth through Job Shadowing Experiences

In April 2025, Junior Achievement Albania took part in a 10-day job shadowing program in Slovenia through the VETpreneur Project. The initiative gathered learners, educators, and management staff from Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia & Herzegovina, offering an immersive experience in Slovenia’s entrepreneurial and vocational education ecosystem.

Nine participants from Albania engaged with entrepreneurs, observed business practices, and joined workshops on applying the EntreComp Framework — Europe’s model for entrepreneurial competence — to bridge education with labor market needs and foster employability, innovation, and entrepreneurial mindsets. Alongside professional learning, the program also encouraged cultural exchange through visits to educational, business, and cultural institutions.

The project is led by Junior Achievement Serbia and implemented with partners across the Western Balkans and Europe, including JA Albania, JA Montenegro, JA Europe, and other regional organizations.

JA Albania thanks Center Geoss for their hospitality, as well as the companies and institutions that shared their expertise and provided participants with valuable hands-on learning experiences in Slovenia.
