Job Shadowing in Cyprus – June 2025 VETpreneur Study Visit: Empowering Youth Through Entrepreneurship Education in Cyprus

In June 2025, the VETpreneur journey continued with an inspiring 10-day job shadowing program in Cyprus. The initiative brought together VETpreneur implementing partners and civil society organizations from Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia & Herzegovina, all working in VET institution management, capacity building, and youth empowerment. 

During the visit, participants explored Nicosia and surrounding areas, engaging with local organizations, businesses, and social innovators who are driving positive change in their communities. These exchanges offered a hands-on understanding of how entrepreneurship education can empower youth and strengthen cross-border collaboration in the region. 

GGC - Albanian Team Nominated for the European Online Award at Women and Girls in STEM Forum

Women and Girls in STEM Forum invited girls aged 14–19 from across Europe to design innovative digital tools for online safety. 

Under the Girls Go Circular initiative, supported by the EIT Community and the European Commission, the forum promotes creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. This is a unique opportunity for young women to build confidence, develop digital skills, and address one of today’s most urgent issues — online security. 

National Debate Competition for the University Level 2025

In June, twelve universities from across Albania competed in Junior Achievement of Albania’s National University Debate Competition, part of the Debating Economics program. 

Across 16 debates, students examined the motion: 
“This House Believes that the biggest threat to cybersecurity is not technology, but human behavior.” 

The grand final brought together the University of Vlora and The Young Economists team from Epoka University, with Epoka University claiming the championship title. 

DEAL Project: Launching Debate Education for Local Active Participation

Kick-Off Meeting in Zagreb – June 2025
From June 2–4, JA Albania joined partners in Zagreb for the official launch of the DEAL Project, aimed at promoting debate education and active citizenship among youth. 

Over three days, partners planned activities, set timelines, and agreed to hold a teacher and debate trainer training in North Macedonia this autumn. Methodologies and expected outcomes were discussed to ensure quality implementation across all partner countries. 

InnoVET 2.0: Advancing Vocational Education through Study Visits

 Study Visit to Polis University – May 2025 

At the end of May, Junior Achievement Albania organized a study visit to Polis University for 37 students and teachers from the VET Technical School in Korça and students from Sami Frashëri High School in Tirana

The visit focused on sharing innovative teaching methods, practical curricula, and work-based projects aligned with labor market needs. Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with one of Albania’s leading applied sciences institutions, gaining valuable insight into how practical learning can be better integrated into vocational education. 

June 1–2: JAA BizTown Transforms Piramida Tirana into a Mini-City

On June 1st and 2nd, Piramida Tirana was transformed into JAA BizTown — a fully functioning miniature city run by 40 enthusiastic “citizens” aged 10–14 from 5 schools in Tirana, Sabaudin Gabrani, Skender Caci, Edith Durham, Vasil Shanto, Jeronim De Rada. 

Participants took on key roles such as:
